Guest Speaker: Rick Neighbors – US House District 4 Candidate

Rick Neighbors will be the guest speaker at tonight’s meeting. Mr. Neighbors is standing for election to the U.S. House of Representatives from the 4th District. (Fayette County is in the 4th Congressional District in Alabama.)

Biography

Rick Neighbors served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1972. During that time, he served three tours in Vietnam. Neighbors earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and government from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1979. He obtained an M.B.A. in leadership and management from the University of North Alabama in 2015. Neighbors also obtained the following certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB), University of North Alabama, 2019; Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Institute (PMI), 2017; Project Management, University of North Alabama, 2016; Statistical Quality Assurance, The University of Alabama, 1981.[1]

Neighbors began working as an operational excellence coordinator for Pilgrims Inc. in 2009. From 2002 to 2009, he was the president of AmSource, LLC. Neighbors was a consultant for Addison & Associates from 2007 to 2013 and a general manager of Williams Cutting International from 1999 to 2005. Before that, he owned R.A.N. Apparel Sourcing and Consulting (1993-1999), worked as a plant manager/engineer for Blue Bell/Wrangler (1979-1987), and as a manager for the RJ Toomey Enterprise (1976-1979). He is affiliated with the Project Management Institute, a member of the American Legion, and the chairman of the State Current Affairs Committee Baptist Student Union
